An overview of the fundamental concepts, theories and methods used to analyze the social experience. This course introduces students to a way of observing and interpreting the social world around them and how they relate to it. Topics include culture, socialization, education, the family, race and ethnicity, social inequality, deviant behavior, government and politics, social change and religion. Previously SOC101.
