WLDG105 - Introduction to Welding
Credit Hours: 3.0
This course teaches the fundamentals in the welding processes, shop orientation and shop safety. Start with oxyacetylene, cutting and welding and advance into basic MIG, TIG, and stick welding. Plasma cutting will be introduced. Welding will be inspected and tested in the flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions. Practical applications are covered and pipe welding will be introduced.
This course is not offered during the Spring 2021 semester.
